ILLIES Facilitates Cutting-Edge Packaging Technology for Japanese Chemical Industry: Successful FAT of VeloVac Vacuum Packer in Lübeck

We are proud to announce the successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the manual VeloVac vacuum packer at the headquarters of our esteemed partner Greif Velox in Lübeck, Germany.

The system will soon be commissioned at the Tokyo site of a leading Japanese chemical company, where it will be used for the dust-free and compact bagging of carbon black—a material that demands exceptional process reliability and sealing performance. This milestone project was made possible through the close collaboration between Greif Velox, and the K.K. IRISU (ILLIES Japan), which serves as local sales and project partner in Japan for Greif Velox.

The VeloVac system represents a technological leap in the packaging of ultra-light powders such as carbon black. Traditional bagging methods often struggle with dust emissions, inefficient compaction, and health risks. This innovation is particularly relevant for industries such as battery manufacturing, plastics, and coatings, where carbon black plays a key functional role.

Our Japanese subsidiary, K.K. IRISU, plays a vital role in enabling European manufacturers to enter and thrive in the Japanese market. With deep cultural understanding, technical expertise, and a robust local presence, we ensure that sophisticated capital goods like the VeloVac system are successfully adapted and integrated into Japanese production environments.
